ncona is about 300 km from Rome on the Adriatic coast. The city is on the motorway A14. The best way to arrive by car from Rome is to take the A1 motorway to Orte then the main road towards Terni SS204, then towards Foligno SS3 and on the SS77 as far as Civitanova where you can pick up the A14 motorway. For the centre of Ancona you should leave the motorway at the exit “Ancona Sud”. by train:

There are four flights a day to Ancona from Rome Fiumicino airport and four from Milan as well as some flights to other European cities.
Central Ancona is easily accessible from the airport, there are frequent trains between the station of Castelferretti, at the airport and Ancona central station.
There are also regular buses to and from the centre of Ancona, the bus line is called “Conero”.
A taxi from the airport to the Institute will cost 25 – 30 € (24 – 28 US$)
