On the basis of Article 51 paragraph 3 of the Law on Marine Fisheries (Official Journal of the Republic of Montenegro No. 55/2003) the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has issued R U L E B O O K
ON FORM, CONTENTS AND KEEPING OF REGISTERS ON
FISHING OR CULTIVATION ACTIVITIES This Rulebook lays down: - the form, contents and method of keeping registers on commercial fishing of cultivation in sea that companies and entrepreneurs are obliged to keep. Users of permits for commercial fishing or cultivation are obliged to submit to the Ministry the data from their records at the end of the six-month term of every year. Article 3 Data from records submitted are used for the purpose of rational marine resources management and for scientific and research purposes. Article 4 The contents of the records for commercial fishing is presented in the form printed together with this Rulebook and is its integral part (appendix 1). The contents of the records for cultivation is presented in the form printed together with this Rulebook and is its integral part (appendix 2). Article 5 Records are kept as an A4 format book. According to the purpose it is used for, the title of the register is printed on the cover page of the records. All records are filled in on the basis of instructions that make the integral part of each one. Article 6 User of the permit for commercial fishing or cultivation must: - fill the data on catch or cultivation in the records on daily basis, - data must be written in the records before the catch of fish and other marine organisms are unloaded, - deviation of up to 15 per cent from the actual quantity of the catch shall be tolerated. Article 7 Data on commercial fishing or cultivation are to be filled in the records by a person to whom the permit had been issued in case he performs fishing or cultivation operations by himself, or a professional employed in fishing or cultivation operations. Article 8 The Ministry shall submit the records on commercial fishing or cultivation to users on the occasion of issuing permits for these respective operations. Article 9 This Rulebook shall enter into force on the eighth day from the day of its publishing in the Official Journal of the Republic of Montenegro.
