The 12th AdriaMed Coordination Committee meeting was organized and held at the Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia (Ljubljana, 1-2 March 2011). The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donors, delegations from the countries participating in the Project (Albania, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia), representatives of the Marine and Inland Service of the Fisheries Resources Use and Conservation Division (FAO-FIRF) of FAO, the FAO Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe, the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), the FAO Mediterranean Regional Projects.
The Committee agreed on the programme of activities proposed. In addition some additional specific suggestions for the next intersessional period of implementation were formulated by the Committee meeting and included in the workplan. |

Abstract |
The Twelfth Meeting of the Coordination Committee of the FAO AdriaMed Regional Project “Scientific Cooperation to Support Responsible Fisheries in the Adriatic Sea” was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, 1st and 2nd March 2011. It was attended by representatives of the Project’s participating countries (Albania, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro, and Slovenia) and other interested parties. The meeting sought to present and discuss the results of the activities carried out by the Project referring to the 2010.
The activities followed the methodological approach used by the Project and were presented according to the main components. Attention was drawn on the working paper “Project Future Implementation”, in which objectives, outputs and activities of the proposed extension phase of AdriaMed for 2011 were introduced and illustrated.
