Since
its inception, the AdriaMed Project has provided
technical assistance to the participating countries
to develop a common cognitive basis in support of
international processes aimed at fishery management.
In this context, the knowledge gap on the fishing
sector, mainly on the socio-economic aspects, has
been identified as one of the main factors hampering
the planning of informed fishery management. To
overcome this gap, studies related to fish markets,
fishermen organizations, fishing capacity and
fishery socio economy in the Adriatic countries have
been promoted, including in the field data
collection according to standardised procedures. |
