The 20th AdriaMed Coordination Committee meeting was held in Split, Croatia on 28th February – 1st March 2019, kindly hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture of Croatia. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donors, delegations from the countries participating in the Project (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia), representatives of the Marine and Inland Fisheries Team (FIAF) of the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy and Resources Division, the other FAO Mediterranean Regional Projects. The Committee celebrated 20years of activities of the Project. The Committee reviewed the activities carried out during the inter committee period and agreed on the programme of activities proposed for the next period of implementation.        

 

             

The 19th AdriaMed Coordination Committee meeting was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 6 and 7 February 2018, kindly hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Administration of Albania. Following the final approval from its Presidency, the meeting welcomed Bosnia and Herzegovina as participating country of AdriaMed. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donors, delegations from the countries participating in the Project (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia), representatives of the Marine and Inland Fisheries Team (FIAF) of the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy and Resources Division, the FAO General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), the other FAO Mediterranean Regional Projects. The Committee discussed on activities carried out during the inter committee period and on the programme of activities proposed for the next period of implementation.        

 

             

The 18th AdriaMed Coordination Committee meeting was held in Tirana, Albania on 16 and 17 February 2017, kindly hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Administration of Albania. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donors, delegations from the countries participating in the Project (Albania, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia), representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the Marine and Inland Fisheries Team (FIAF) of the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy and Resources Division, the FAO General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), the FAO Mediterranean Regional Projects. The Committee discussed on activities carried out during the inter committee period and on the programme of activities proposed for the next period of implementation.        

 

             

The Extraordinary Meeting of the AdriaMed Coordination Committee was organized and held in St. Julian’s, Malta, on 31th May 2016. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donors (Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, EC-DG-MARE, Croatian Ministry of Agriculture) delegations from the countries participating in the Project (Albania, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia) and the FAO Mediterranean Regional Projects. The Committee was called to address the request received by Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) to become a beneficiary member country of the FAO AdriaMed Project. The Committee agreed on the proposal and required that the official administrative steps be taken to make BiH partner of the Project.        

 

             

The 17th AdriaMed Coordination Committee meeting was organized and held in Portorož, Slovenia, 6th – 7th April 2016, kinldy hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of Slovenia. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donors, delegations from the countries participating in the Project (Albania, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia), representatives of the Marine and Inland Service of the Fisheries Resources Use and Conservation Division (FAO-FIRF) of FAO, the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), the FAO Mediterranean Regional Projects. The Committee discussed the inter committee period and the programme of activities proposed for the next intersessional period of implementation.        

 

             

The 13th AdriaMed Coordination Committee meeting was organized and held in Tirana, Albania from 26–28 March 2012 and was kindly hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Water Administration, Directorate of Fisheries Policies. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donors, delegations from the countries participating in the Project (Albania, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia), representatives of the Marine and Inland Service of the Fisheries Resources Use and Conservation Division (FAO-FIRF) of FAO, the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), the FAO Mediterranean Regional Projects. The Committee discussed the inter committee period and the programme of activities proposed for the next intersessional period of implementation as well as the possibility of an extension to Project activities.        

 

             

The 12th AdriaMed Coordination Committee meeting was organized and held at the Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia (Ljubljana, 1-2 March 2011). The meeting was attended by representatives of the Donors, delegations from the countries participating in the Project (Albania, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and Slovenia), representatives of the Marine and Inland Service of the Fisheries Resources Use and Conservation Division (FAO-FIRF) of FAO, the FAO Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe, the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), the FAO Mediterranean Regional Projects. The Committee agreed on the programme of activities proposed. In addition some additional specific suggestions for the next intersessional period of implementation were formulated by the Committee meeting and included in the workplan.

The meeting was attended by delegations from the five participating countries (Albania, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy and Slovenia), as well as by representative of FAO-FIMF, GFCM, EC and of the other FAO Sub-regional Projects.

The second meeting of the AdriaMed Coordination Committee was held in Portorose, Slovenia at the Grand Hotel Emona Convention Centre, Obala 2, 6320, Portorož.The meeting was attended by the Coordination Committee members and attention focused on the progress made and on the discussion and preparation of the future work programme.
